Filament Stanza, the literary
faction of Altes Finanzamt, returns with readings from three Icelandic authors
of poetry and prose: Valgerður Þóroddsdóttir, Kári Páll Óskarsson and KristÃn
Svava Tómasdóttir.
Valgerður
Þóroddsdóttir is an author and founding member of the independent publisher Meðgönguljóð. She is studying philosophy
and literature at the University of Iceland and writes for The ReykjavÃk Grapevine. Her first book, a collection of poetry
called Þungir forsetar, appeared last
year.
Kári Páll
Óskarsson is a writer and translator based in Berlin. He has published and
edited several books as a member of the ReykjavÃk based literary collective
Nýhil.
KristÃn
Svava Tómasdóttir was the artistic director of the Nýhil International Poetry Festival in 2009 and 2010. She has
published two books of poetry and writes for the literary blog Druslubækur og doðrantar.
